Kangaloon.

At one of the highest points in the picturesque Southern Highlands and boasting outstanding views over rolling hills and dramatic valleys, the tiny village of Kangaloon, with a population of just over two hundred, is one of the region’s blue-ribbon areas, combining enchanting natural beauty with the privacy and seclusion of an exclusive rural enclave.

Kangaloon is the local Aboriginal word for "kangaroo landing ground" and with the Yarrawarra Brush rainforest and stunning Fitzroy Falls only a short distance away, one of the highlights of the area is being surrounded by the dazzling natural landscape. Shopping, dining and transport options are all conveniently located in the nearby town centres of Robertson and Bowral, where there’s a range of boutiques, cafes and homeware stores, plus regular growers’ markets and a variety of cold climate vineyards to visit. From Bowral and Moss Vale there are train lines to many larger centres, and with the easy drive to Sydney or Canberra, this is a tightly-held and highly sought-after Southern Highlands location, increasingly popular with people looking to escape the hectic pace of the city.
