Forresters Beach.
Forresters Beach is a quaint coastal suburb on Sydney’s sprawling Central Coast. Reaching from the northern end of Wamberal Lagoon to the cliffs of Bateau Bay and with the dramatic Wyrrabalong National Park in between, Forresters Beach is surrounded by natural beauty.
Lying 16 kilometres east of Gosford and 98 kilometres north of Sydney, Forresters Beach is wedged between Terrigal and Wamberal to the south and Bateau Bay to the north. Popular with older couples and families, Forresters Beach is a place to relax and enjoy life at a slower pace. Affectionately referred to as “Forries” by the locals, Forresters Beach is a smaller area than neighbouring Terrigal and Bateau Bay and thus attracts fewer crowds, which is exactly how the locals like it. The expansive beachfront that dominates the landscape at Forresters Beach has limited access and is unpatrolled, however, this doesn’t stop locals and visitors enjoying a surf, splash or stroll.
With only a handful of cafés, restaurants and a general store in the area, shopping, dining and entertainment needs are best served in nearby Terrigal and Bateau Bay. Bateau Bay Square is just eight minutes up the road offering several retail and supermarket options, and for boutique shopping just drive 15 minutes south to bustling Terrigal Esplanade. To enjoy the abundance of natural attractions in the area, head to Wyrrabalong National Park and take in expansive ocean views along the three-kilometre coast walking track.
With easy access to natural attractions and everyday amenities, Forresters Beach is an ideal beach suburb on Sydney’s picturesque coastline.
