Sitting pretty along Brisbane River, Corinda in Brisbane’s southwest is a quiet and leafy suburban neighbourhood that strikes a chord with family-friendly living. From prestigious schools to beautifully restored Queenslanders to well-connected transport links – and all with plenty of parklands to go around. 

Oxley Road is the commercial hub of Corinda, with a selection of grocery stores, small businesses and restaurants that shine a spotlight on global eats. Adding to Corinda’s village-like feel is the local schools, library, cafes, and Corinda Railway Station, which has locals into Brisbane City within 20-minutes, and Indooroopilly Shopping Centre in even less time.

Corinda is also a standout for its quiet leafy streets, lined with a wide variety of homes – from townhouses and low-density apartments to large family homes and striking Queenslanders built high on the hill. But it’s the prestigious schools; namely, St Aidan’s Anglican Girls School that’s a big drawcard. As is St Joseph’s Catholic School and Corinda’s two local state schools.

Corinda also has a great line-up of winning amenities, such as Dunlop Park Memorial Swimming Pool (which boasts a heated swimming pool). Plus, sports playing fields, and neighbourhood parks, like the Francis Lookout Reserve. There are also golfing facilities in the southern areas of Corinda, a boating club along Brisbane River and a horse and pony club tucked away near Cliveden Avenue Reserve. And in neighbouring Sherwood, there is the impressive heritage-listed Arboretum.
