Scott McElroy.

Growing up on a farm outside Dubbo in NSW, Scott knows all about hard work and getting the job done. Moving to Noosa Heads just prior to leaving school, his real estate journey started straight out of school where he started in property management handling both holiday and permanent rentals and then moving into residential sales.

With a thirst to learn more, he progressed to working in Brisbane and the Gold Coast in commercial property, specializing in retail leasing. Working in commercial property with an international brand, saw Scott venture to Melbourne in 1989. A few years later in 1991 he joined the hockingstuart group, setting up their commercial property division. At the same time and with a thirst for work, Scott also worked in project marketing and was at the forefront of the conversion of many CBD buildings into residential apartments as part of the Postcode 3000 initiative and many other successful project marketing campaigns.

In 1997 Scott opened the hockingstuart office in Carlton and then expanding to open offices in Brunswick and Northcote. With over 30 years with the group and as one it’s longest serving members, Scott was super excited to see in 2019 hockingstuart merge Belle Property, Australia’s premium real estate group.

Scott loves the emotional side of property and assisting buyers and sellers achieve their property goals for both personal and investment uses. As he says, “There is nothing better than seeing the smile on a buyers face when they put a SOLD sticker on a sale board after an auction.”

Married with 3 daughters, one who has followed in his footsteps, Scott is a keen cyclist, golfer and loves to entertain after picking up the best of produce at the famous Vic Market.
