Ronnie & Georgia’s ‘effortlessly calm’ ensuite scores a perfect 10.
After missing out on the last few room wins on The Block, Western Australian couple Ronnie and Georgia were back on form this week, carrying off the room reveal challenge with their master ensuite bathroom.
Belle Property agents Jenny Dwyer and David Wood, a veteran Block auctioneer of 11 seasons, are the co-listing agents for Ronnie and Georgia’s house, located at 2 Bronte Court in the Melbourne Bayside suburb of Hampton.
Earlier in the week the couple also won the cubby house challenge, earning the kids’ vote with a built-from-scratch rocket ship and netting themselves an extra $10,000 as a result. The Perth duo, dubbed ‘Faves’ having previously featured on the show’s 2017 season, also carried off the guest bedroom challenge last month.
Jenny and David congratulated the couple on their win. “This is a stunning master ensuite by anyone’s standards. The design emphasises the room’s soaring ceilings and ramps up the luxe-factor via an Australian-oak handmade vanity with marble inlay, living brass which develops a patina over time, and under-floor heating,” said Jenny.
“Ronnie and Georgia’s ensuite perfectly complements the bedroom and rounds-out the space’s transformation into a resort-like retreat buyers will swoon over,” added David.
The room’s subdued colour palette subtly echoes the olive-green tones of the master bedroom, described as ‘the most beautiful ever seen on The Block’ by judge Neale Whitaker.
Neale was equally complimentary of the couple’s ensuite this week, awarding a perfect 10 for its ‘effortless calm’, which scored them an additional $5,000. A sentiment echoed by fellow judge Shaynna Blaze, who observed that Ronnie and Georgia ‘do neutral calm so beautifully.’
With the property listing already live, as the show progresses the two will be working hard to deliver future rooms as successful as their prize-winning ensuite and guest bedroom.
This means appeasing exacting judges while at the same time maintaining a broad appeal to future buyers, many of whom may already be keeping a close eye on proceedings according to Jenny.
“With room reveals happening weekly potential buyers are able to tune in regularly to The Block and check the property listing which gets updated each week. This creates somewhat of a drip-feed effect and helps stimulate buyer interest prior to the official sales campaign,” said Jenny.
A campaign which has all the markers of a successful one according to David. “Judging by the exceptional standards Ronnie and Georgia have set with their room designs and build quality so far, house number one is going to be a serious contender for an excellent result come auction day.”
