How to buy during COVID-19.
Can I still buy with Belle Property?
Yes, we still have a number of high-quality properties available to purchase across Australia. From city apartments to family homes, we will help you find a property perfectly suited to your lifestyle. To view properties available, visit our website, contact your local Belle Property office directly or sign up to our property alerts to receive alerts of new properties that come on to the market that meet your criteria.
Can I view properties without open homes?
As per Government regulations and for the safety of our staff and buyers, we are no longer able to hold traditional open homes, however we can offer various alternatives to view our properties including virtual tours and private, appointment-only inspections. Chat to your local agent about what is possible in your state.
Are agents still contactable and available for meetings?
Yes, we are still open for business, however we will be conducting most meetings over the phone and via video conference, plus you can communicate with us via email. Most of our teams are now working remotely, but please know our agents will always remain contactable.
Are auctions still running and how can I register?
Yes, instead of traditional on-site and in room auctions, we are holding online auctions. To find out more about auctions available, contact the selling agent of the property and talk to them about how to register to bid. You can also watch auctions online if you are interested in what’s happening in the market, just ask your local agent how.
Are properties available off-market or by private treaty?
Yes, we still offer both off-market and private treaty sales. Often this will depend on the wishes of the seller, or a request submitted to the selling agent. Contact your local Belle Property office directly to discuss their property options and sign up to our off-market property alerts via the Belle Property website.
Has there been any changes to the first-home buyer scheme?
No, there have been no changes to the first-home buyers scheme by the Government. This means that first-home buyers who have met all the criteria are still able to access the scheme. Speak with your accountant or mortgage broker about what is available in your state before speaking with one of our agents.
Is it a good time to buy an investment property? What can I expect the rental market to be like?
Through every economic downturn, property has continued to be sold and bought, and the COVID-19 pandemic is no exception.
If you were already looking for your dream home before the crisis hit (or just entering the market), now is not the time to drop off. The market is adjusting to the current climate with great opportunities for buyers to get ahead.
As for the rental market, we have lots of tenants looking and ready to move into high-quality properties. Contact your local Belle Property agent to discuss opportunities available in your area.
If I’m moving from outside the area, how can I learn more about the suburb?
In partnership with Belle Property, Sitchu.com.au is a website that offers up-to-date suburb guides to learn more about what it’s like to live, eat drink and play in a suburb. With the suburb search tool, you can explore everything there is to know about a suburb, without even leaving your house.
